My Beliefs and Values
My beliefs and values are very different from many. Some believe the same as some of mine. Others do not. This is fine with me. If everyone believed exactly the same then the world would actually be a pretty boring place to live in. When we find friends we look for similarities that can bind us together as friends, but it is the differences that make each of our friends unique. I have decided that I wanted to put down in writing what I believe and hold dear to me. Hopefully this will give everyone a better understanding of me as a friend and person. I have believed what I do since childhood, so I guess I'm set in my ways. If you wish to judge me by my beliefs then that is your choice. I try not to judge people by their beliefs but by their actions.
First unlike many I do not see magic as a "nothing" force there solely to do our biding. I see magic as a life force on its own. Only I believe magic to be positive (light), negative (dark) and neutral. I see this in nature as well. Not everything in nature is necessarily good for other living things, not just humans. This is a delicate balance though that must be maintained. Some things in nature are very bad for us, but good for something else and vice versa. Then there are things that are not good for any living thing. And some are good for all living things. I also believe that magic calls the person not the other way around. We as humans have positive and negative in us at all times. Something must call us to choose the path we take.
I believe that magic resides in 13 gates. The first 6 contain the light(positive magics), with the first gate containing the weakest and the 6th gate containing the more powerful ones. The last 6 contain the dark(negative magics), with the 7th gate containing the weakest and the 12th the more powerful ones. The 13th gate contains all the neutral magics and the most powerful of all the magics. These magics are the ones that can be used for both light and dark. I am a neutral. I prefer not to fight, but if I must I will. I also believe that without the evil we cannot have the good. Everything happens for a reason, even when we do not want to see it. I believe in both fate and destiny. Fate is something we can change, or if you will cheat. Destiny is something we cannot change, or cheat, no matter how hard we try.
I also do not exactly agree with the Wiccian 3 fold law. I do believe that everything does come back to us, in time. Just not necessarily in this lifetime.
I believe in reincarnation. I just believe we wait for all we have ever loved in our lifetime to join us before we move on. Unlike many I also believe that we don't always return as humans. Everything in the universe, to me, has a life force a soul.
I also believe in a form of hell. This is a place reserved for the most grievous of souls that do not learn anything from one lifetime to the next. A punishment for not learning to grow. How and who get there, well that I'm not sure of and therefore I will not judge. I also believe that if we do grow and learn everything we can that there will come a time when we will no longer travel into a new lifetime but become a guardian to a new soul.
I do believe in satan, just not the Christianity view. I believe satan is a representation of all the greatest evils that have walked this physical plane. I believe in both spirit guides and protectors, both animal and mythical. I believe the animal protectors protect us on this plane. The mythical protect us on the astral plane. When I do use magic, I go to the elements before all else. I only go to Gaia, Mother Earth, Luna Mother Moon and Father Sky when I need guidance. I see them as my spiritual parents, and like all children seek them out only for guidance and comfort. I do not worship them, because just as I am Creator's creation, they are as well.
My values are also a little weird. I do not lie, in fact I cannot lie (the closet I can get is to omit), not even to my own children, not even to protect them. Some have told me this is sad, but I don't understand that. I will tell a half-truth if I must just leave out the parts I can't lie about but I will not tell an all out lie. I put family above all else. Not just blood family, but people whom I have come to love as my family. I will protect my family with my life if necessary.
